About
Hello! I’m Hannah, a Wiltshire based artist inspired by wildlife and wild spaces. My love of travel has led me to many exciting places where I have been fortunate to see so many incredible animals and landscapes. When I am not out exploring nature, I can be found in my studio painting it.
I work mainly in soft pastels as I love the immediacy of the medium. They are portable, so great for working en plein air too! I complete each of my wildlife and landscape works from my own reference images, so each painting is unique to me. It also helps me get a feel for a place or an animal.
I always aim to capture the likeness of my subjects while adding a little more vibrancy to the image. I love colour and enjoy the challenge of finding those subtle tones in everything from fur to feathers, fields to forest, as well as in water and shadows.
